What do you do for fun? I love trying new places to eat.
Where are you from and what brought you to Baltimore? St. Croix, USVI and came for school and work.
How long have you been a member at Baltimore Built? I made a year in June.
Were you athletic or involved in sports when growing up? If so, what sports and or activities did you participate in? I loved sports as a kid. I played everything, but by high school, I only played basketball and volleyball.
Were you working out regularly prior to joining Baltimore Built? If so, what were you doing? Prior to joining Baltimore Built I was semi consistent.
Why do you workout? Working out helps me decompress from life and work. Plus I like to eat and stay fit.
What is your favorite lift or movement and why? Rowing for calories, lol.
What is your favorite workout or type of workout and why? I like a short high intensity 2-4 movement workout.
What type of music do you like to listen to when you workout and why? I love soca, with a sprinkle of dancehall and afrobeats.
What have you accomplished as an athlete (big or small) during your time at Baltimore Built? Pushing my limits on weights, I’ve never really focused on getting stronger.
How has your fitness influenced and/or impacted your life outside of the gym? Sometimes life can be overwhelming when I think about all the things I need to do for the day or accomplish in life, but I remind myself one step at a time just like workouts, one rep at a time. Working out is my peace.
What goals (fitness related or not) do you have for the next year? I’d love to improve my endurance. I dread longer workouts. I’d love to dread them less, lol.
