Occupation: Former nurse, current Medical device sales

What brought you to Baltimore Built? I was looking for strength and conditioning style group fitness and I instantly knew Built had great coaches and familiar faces.

How long have you been a member at Baltimore Built? 7 months

Were you athletic or involved in sports when growing up? If so, what sports and or activities did you participate in? I was a cheerleader and I played lacrosse back in my younger years. I always loved being physically active and playing random sports with friends like football and volleyball.

Were you working out regularly prior to joining Baltimore Built? If so, what were you doing? Yes. I was doing CrossFit (less( and I was running (more).

Why do you workout? It is an outlet to my daily life. Working out is a mood booster mentally and I enjoy the physical benefits from it as a woman. I just FEEL healthier when I work out consistently.

What is your favorite lift or movement and why? I love back squats because I like the soreness feeling you get from squatting (Am I crazy?). It is definitely a positive mental and physical challenge to squat heavy.

What is your favorite workout or type of workout and why? I love the cardio/fast paced workouts- burpees, box jumps, and running. (Am I crazy, again?)

What have you accomplished as an athlete (big or small) during your time at Baltimore Built? My double unders are slowly getting better! I also see my body composition changing for the better since working out at Built!

What fitness goals do you have for the next year? I’d like to string 15 strict pull ups, have consistent double unders, and run a half marathon.

How has your fitness influenced and/or impacted your life outside of the gym? The gym is the best form of therapy for me. It has been the greatest constant I’ve had while going through major life transitions. The people in this gym make it even better.What hobbies and activities do you enjoy outside of the gym? I love traveling, being outside in the sun/warmth, listening to audiobooks and podcasts, dining out and trying different types of food, and I am an amateur crocheter. I spend a lot of time with my family, too- I have lots of siblings, nieces, and nephews!
