How long have you been a member at BBS&C? Since Oct 2019.
Were you athletic or involved in sports when growing up? Played football & baseball in neighborhood leagues.
Were you working out regularly prior to joining BBS&C? If so, what were you doing? Started CrossFit in 2010, prior to that no gym.
Why do you workout? Funny enough, to relax. Also, to improve/challenge my mental/physical strength.
What is your favorite lift or movement and why? Olympic lifting, the combination of skill & strength.
What is your favorite workout or type of workout and why? Anything 20 minutes plus, I ain’t built for sprinting.
What have you accomplished as an athlete (big or small) during your time at BBS&C? The coaching has been a great resource on pushing me further mentally & physically more than I could have alone. I’ve benefited greatly from the technique queues that have taken lifts/movements I’ve done for many years and opened them up for greater reps, weight increases, efficiency, etc. . .
What fitness goals do you have for the next year? Consistency, health/body willing and improving on gymnastic movements.
How has your fitness influenced and/or impacted your life outside of the gym? The gym has helped me prioritize my physical and mental health. Work & personal life have benefited from the prioritizing of my health. A tough workout can be a great template for life outside the gym. Breath control, determination, comradery, etc. . .
