How long have you been a member at BBS&C? 1 year
Were you athletic or involved in sports when growing up? I played softball and I also took dance lessons all of my childhood.
Were you working out regularly prior to joining BBS&C? If so, what were you doing? Yes, I have done all different types of workouts but mainly: yoga, Les Mills programs, HIIT, running and cycling.
Why do you workout? I workout for my mental and physical health, wellness and strength. Working out makes me an all-around better person!
What is your favorite lift or movement and why? Picking just one is a challenge! I love just about everything for one reason or another but I guess a SA DB Snatch is at the top of the list!
What is your favorite workout or type of workout and why? I love a workout that challenges my endurance and strength and if it’s done with a partner it’s even better!
What have you accomplished as an athlete (big or small) during your time at BBS&C? I have become physically and mentally stronger. I have learned that “things in life are hard” and that working out and the BB Coaches are here to help me realize that.
What fitness goals do you have for the next year? I want to become stronger and more confident in lifts that require me to put the weight above my head.
How has your fitness influenced and/or impacted your life outside of the gym? Working out has helped me have mental toughness, patience, determination, consistent/disciplined behavior for all areas of my life, it has helped me become a better me.
