June 2018 Athlete of the Month
Name: Ryan Arnett
Occupation: Verizon Cable Splicer
Length Of Time CrossFitting: 6 months
Favorite Lift and Why: Hands down my favorite lift is the Front Squat. I feel extremely comfortable with this lift. I feel as if I’m using my whole body to control this movement. From start to finish with this movement you need to have total balance along with strength to go down and back up.
Favorite WOD and Why: My Favorite WOD would have to be anything with pull ups and push ups. Once that WOD starts, my adrenaline kicks in and I’m all about trying to bust out as many of them as I can. They are simple movements with great reward when done correctly.
Goals for the Next Year: My goals for next year? That is a long list! My main goal is to make as many classes as possible and “Put Some Fn Weight on The Bar!” This will help me attain my long list of goals. I definitely want to manage my 1st Muscle Up. Bar or Ring. Hopefully one follows the other closely.
How has CrossFit Impacted your Life? Wow!! CrossFit has done so much for me and my family. The energy I have from joining is incredible. My eating habits have changed drastically. This has caused a chain reaction in the family. There is No soda or Kool-Aid in our house anymore. Strictly water and Milk. My kids eat fish now! They constantly ask when they can come back to class with me. I’ve gained GREAT new friends!! Especially the 6 am class who welcomed me with open arms my 1st class and continue to bust my balls when I choose to scale my WODs. I personally wanna thank Harry Lang for asking me to find a Crossfit and try it out. I found CFB for us and have no regrets what so ever!!! Thanks to all of the coaches!!!
